Home schooling takes the whole famly
The modest, two-story house in Norwich was very quiet, even though the five Yanovitch children ranging in age from 12 to 2 were sitting around a dining room table sharing baby carrots and a large bowl of tuna fish Monday afternoon.
The bigger ones help the little ones, and even pick up the 2-year-old when he wants to be held. Even though they’re taking a break from school, they’re not bored. In fact, they seem very content with their surroundings and each other.
Unlike other children, their schedule has not been altered much, since the children are home schooled. They still have chores to do, music lessons and more time to play with neighborhood children. And of course, Sarah, 12, Rachel, 10, Leah, 8, Alex, 6, and Nathaniel, 2, have each other. Read more…
