“Virtual” school founded in Iowa

Students enrolled in a new statewide public school program soon won�t have to go to school to attend classes. Instead, they can roll out of bed and get assignments on their home computer via the Internet.

The Iowa Virtual School Program, starting this fall out of the Pocahontas Area Community School District in northwest Iowa, will send about 90 pounds of musical instruments, workbooks and other learning implements to accompany online lesson plans, the interim director said. Read more…
