Teacher’s Union sues over virtual school

Port Washington, WI – The state’s largest teachers union has launched a new legal challenge in its fight to stop the spread of statewide virtual charter schools that use public tax dollars to support the home-based instruction of non-resident students.

In a lawsuit filed in Ozaukee County Circuit Court, the Wisconsin Education Association Council is asking that the Northern Ozaukee School District be forced to shut down its virtual charter school because it allegedly violates state law. Read more…
