For some, home is where school is

WAPPINGERS FALLS — On most days, Nate, Kasie, Angie and Walter Willis start their day with a glass of fresh carrot juice, cereal and toast. Then there are chores to be done, like cleaning their rooms, vacuuming or doing dishes. School begins at 9 a.m.; other days, it may be 10 a.m. That flexibility is one advantage of homeschooling, they say.

Classes are year-round. And every vacation or trip to the store holds a learning opportunity.

When people ask them where they go to school, sometimes they answer, ”Berechah Technical Academy.” Berechah is a Hebrew word meaning ”blessing.” Read more…
