Home-schooled do well at Iowa’s universities
The DesMoines register has so many stories on homeschooling today.
Two Iowa universities say they’ve seen an increase in the number of home-schoolers applying to college, and the students are doing academically as well, or better, than those from traditional high schools.
Iowa State University’s positive experience with home-schoolers has led the school to consider actively recruiting them, said Phil Caffrey , senior associate director of admissions. Read more…
