Home-school teens produce their own version of Shakespeare
As a wise homeschool mom said: “Shakespeare never meant his plays to be read. It’s much easier to understand on stage.”
Ask most 15-year-olds who ‘The Bard’ is, and they’d have no idea. Heather Brinson and her four siblings, ages 11 to 17, quote Shakespeare around the house.
“My family went to see `Twelfth Night’ put on by Clemson, and it was so great,” Heather, a home-schooled eleventh-grader, said. “All the way home I thought, `I wish I could do Shakespeare with the home school group.’ ” Read more…
