Homeschooling on rise
Another story starts out with “that socialization thing”.
Questions about socialization concerns of homeschooled children makes members of the Blount Home Education Association laugh.
“It’s kind of a joke with us,” said Laurie Leslie, who homeschools her two sons. “This is one of the biggest groups I have heard of. One person doesn’t get burned out because they’re so many people to do things.”
By being a BHEA member, students and their parents have access to a multitude of activities, club meetings, field trips and enrichment classes. Some of the extracurricular activities include trips to the park and skating parties.
