Giving schools a good home

Many schools are starting to cater to homeschoolers. Sometimes it’s just cashing in, other times not. One thing is for sure, homeschooling is having an effect on intitutional schools.

Two schools in Utah County are tailoring their curricula to the area’s growing home-school crowd.

The Lincoln Center for Independent Learning and the American Heritage School of Spanish Fork are letting students spend more time at home to provide the flexibility home-schoolers value.

Gwen Dutcher founded the Lincoln Center this year after seven years of teaching her children at home. The enrollment cap for the school, which will lease classrooms at the Boys and Girls of America in Provo, is 25 students. Read more…
