Parenting: Home-School Socialization

It still amazes me how often this question is asked and how ignorant the homeschool stereotypes that accompany this question. How many anti-social kids and social misfits were in your public school?

Some research indicates that more than 2-million American children are home-schooled, and some statistics show that they consistently score in the top percentiles on standardized tests. But for all that academic success, some educators fear that home-schooled children miss out on an important part of the school experience: friendships with peers.
