The children move in with the Squalor’s: selfish socialite Esme and her kind-hearted but cowardly husband, Jerome. They learn the ever changing standards of what’s “in” (aqueous martinis and pinstripes) and what’s “out’ (light and elevators). Olaf is more of a threat than a presence, and the children’s critical thinking skills lead to a surprising discovering. One of our favorites!
