Worcester Homeschoolers get no High-school credits

WORCESTER— The chairman of the School Committee’s program development committee last night called “very shortsighted” a policy that designates all home-schooled students who decide to attend public high school as freshmen without consideration for age or achievement.
The policy, assailed by home-school advocates as discriminatory, is under review by the school administration. Joseph C. O’Brien, chairman of the Standing Committee on Program Development, said he expects the committee will review the policy when it meets in the next two weeks. Read more…
