Georgia Homeschoolers ‘Hope’ bill

State Rep. John Lunsford (R-McDonough) has filed a bill to make it easier for home schoolers to obtain the Hope scholarship.
The bill will be heard by the Higher Education Committee on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Legislative Office Building located at 18 Capitol Square in Atlanta.
Currently, home schooled students are required to attend a public, post-secondary institutions and maintain a cumulative 3.0 average. Also, they must complete 30 hours at the end of a semester or 45 hours at the end of a quarter, in order to become eligible for the state scholarship. Read more…
