Beware of attempts to limit parents’ options

As homeschool parents, my husband and I are primarily concerned with the character of our children. We care about the manner in which they work and serve mankind, their courage and patience, compassion, determination and self-control. Of course, we are determined that our children will be well-schooled.
We believe children are best raised in the warmth and safety of the home. We are their tutors, and the tutorial system of education has never been surpassed in excellence. The closest challenge to the homeschool came from the one-room, rural family-type school. Homeschooled children are safe from the rivalry and ridicule that is often found in the classroom, on the bus or the playground. The school, not the home, is the substitute. Read more…
