This book is a must have for any one wishing to start, maintain, or save a dying co-op.
I would have loved to have had this book years ago when I joined my first co-op. Being brand new to home schooling, the other moms and I knew nothing on how to get a co-op off the ground. We forged a path through uncharted territory, figuring it out as we went. This book is classified as fantasy fiction. Young Corian (Corey) Griffin's secret life began the day his father refused him a cup of coffee. After his father has to go away for work to save their home from foreclosure, Corey's growing desires draw him again and again to the coiling dragon on his father's green Chinese box to steal money kept there to buy from Mr. Good the ice cream man, which begins to rot his teeth. After learning about the seven wonders of the ancient world, country boy Eben McAllister is convinced nothing in his town of Sassafras Springs will ever compare with the likes of The Great Pyramid at Giza, or the Lighthouse of Alexandria; he dreams of traveling around the world on a tramp steamer to see the wonders with his own eyes. Most children really enjoy glossy paged, colorful, well-illustrated nature magazines that provide information on animals, plants, and other wonders of our amazing earth. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the popular magazines of this sort either specifically teaches evolution or, perhaps worse, is subtly based on evolutionary presumptions. Read more...

I bet most of you other Christian homeschool moms are just like me—you’re swimming in an ocean of Bibles, Bible devotional books, toddler Bible picture books, early reader Bibles, middle-grade adventure Bibles, etc. Why should you even consider another addition to the stack? Besides the fact that you never can have too many Bibles, Stephen Elkins’ 100 Bible Stories, 100 Bible Songs really is unique in that it offers something for everyone in the family. Read more...
