Part 2 of a series about home schooling in northwest Missouri.
Their schedule remains pretty much the same every day. They get up, eat breakfast, do chores and climb the steps to their attic room, where the school day begins.
“I like having school upstairs where we can ignore the world, although that’s hard at times,” Sue Darnell, who homeschools her children, said. “I have made it clear to my friends and neighbors that my full time job is teaching my children. I do not answer the phone or pay attention to what’s going on anywhere else in the world from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. That’s our school time.” Read more…
