Ask any veteran homeschooling parent what is one thing that makes a home school successful and I bet the answer you get will be organization. If youâre not even remotely organized you will find homeschooling very challenging, especially if you have more than one child. Thatâs what makes this planner by the Old Schoolhouse Magazine a great find. It has everything youâll need for planning, documenting, organizing, and keeping your homes and schools in order.
This digital planner is chronicled from July 2008 to June 2009. Each month has a print out calendar, some suggested lesson plans (information all inclusive), links to helpful educational resources, and recipes. In addition, youâll find things like evaluation and test score recording sheets, household forms, and even vacation planning ideas. With over 200 pages, you are sure to find what you need to get organized. I especially loved the monthly resource list â itâs a great addition to our curriculum. Sometimes you need something fresh to teach and you just donât have the time to go fishing around the Internet for something new.
Hereâs what TOS says about the genesis of their planner:
âWeâre excited about our new planner and know that you will be too! We have taken ALL of your suggestions and ideas and compiled them into ONE fantastic planner, so that everything you need to plan in your life can be in one place, making your busy life as a homeschool mom just a bit simpler!
There is no doubt this will provide you with some peace of mind so you wonât think, (like me) âhow in the world can I get and keep myself organized?â But remember the key is not to just read the planner, but to copy off what you need and actually put it into action. If you purchase only one thing this year to help with your organization, this is what I would recommend. I have never seen so much helpful information under one umbrella. It is phenomenal resource!
