One need only look at the academic record of home schooling over the last two decades to see that home schooling spells success. For example, even though home schoolers represented about 3 percent of the nation’s students, they comprised 36 of the 286 contestants (nearly 13 percent) in the 2007 National Spelling Bee. They have been in the winning top 10 every year this decade.
Home schoolers score higher on ACT and SAT college entrance exams when compared to public school students. The ACT college admission exam scores show home schoolers consistently performing above the national average. Statistics like these are easily found at many educational Web sites. Read more…
