And I usually say something like, “Um … well, um … I mean, I like it, but I just have trouble with the part where you have to learn stuff. But once you get past that … well, um, it’s good.”

The better question to ask me would probably be, “Do you feel as if you are deprived of anything as a home-schooler?”

We want to homeshcool our children. Our oldest is about to start Kindergarten next year. And our youngest is 2 1/2.
Our kids are currently attending a private preschool full-time. The oldest girl says she does not want to homeschool next year. She really likes being with other kids.
Any ideas about how to encourage her that it will be good, fun, etc?
Also my husband is unable to work at a job and so I work full-time.
I would love to stay home as well and do most of the homeschooling. I'm a certified teacher and would enjoy the time with my family. But obviously we need an income.
Does anyone know of sme work from home opportunities, like online opportunities?
    Thanks.
    Dawn

    Hi Dawn

It's difficult to answer you fully in a comment. Try contacting me directly through our feedback form.

Quick points – if you can find a local homeschool support group, join it. That will help you and your kids adjust to the change and learn the ropes. Your daughter will make friends there and find she has more time to spend with them.

At least one parent has to be motivated to homeschool. It's work but very rewarding.

As far as online, work at home, it depends what you do. Contact me directly.
