ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Benjamin Fornshill is home schooled, but he makes one thing clear — he’s no slacker.
“Home schoolers have a better chance of getting into college,” Fornshill, 10, says. “Our parents get to choose how good we are and we get basically private tutoring. All in all, I think we’re far from slackers.”
Fornshill, who is in the fifth grade, will continue to debunk that myth as he and a group of fellow home schoolers compete in the World Finals of the Odyssey of the Mind competition later this month. Read more…
